On July 14, 2018, 40 Dead & Company fans will generously volunteer their time in Boulder, Colorado to make 2,000 nutritious dried soup meals for distribution to food pantries in Colorado and the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. This Action Day is being co-hosted by 501(3)(c) not-for-profit organizations Positive Legacy and Conscious Alliance and funded by a grant from the Rex Foundation.
All Dead & Company fans are invited to take it one step FURTHUR by making a donation for HUNGER RELIEF. Every one dollar donated will feed one hungry person a nutritious meal.
In many ways, America is the land of plenty, but for 1 in 6 Americans, hunger is a reality. Right now, millions of Americans are struggling with hunger. These are often hard-working adults, children, and seniors who simply cannot make ends meet and are forced to go without food for several meals, or even days. According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), 49 million Americans are affected by hunger, and 16 million children under the age of 18 currently live in a food insecure household.
Dead & Company fans, this is a CALL TO ACTION! Together we can have a huge impact! $1 will feed one hungry person. $10 will feel 10 hungry people. $50 will feed 50 hungry people. You get the idea, now imagine all the hungry people Dead & Company fans can feed!
Make a tax-deductible donation to Positive Legacy's Dead & Company Fans Feed the Hungry campaign. 100% of your donation will then be gifted to Conscious Alliance to provide food to thousands of hungry people. Not for profit Conscious Alliance strives to alleviate hunger on a national level through their 'Art That Feeds' Food Drives, which they host at concerts and music festivals around the United States. Since their inception in 2002, they have distributed over 3 million meals to Feeding America affiliates and local food banks around the country.
