Help us Create a Marine-Themed Eco Destination for the Community and Travelers to Learn More About the Mesoamerican Reef
This year, Positive Legacy is TRANSFORMING Lighthouse Park in Belize City into a marine-themed Eco Park. This park will promote conservation, environmental education, and engagement for the entire community.
We need to raise $15,000 to complete the project.
To make this happen, we're working alongside our local partner, Healthy Reefs for Healthy People (HRHP), an organization committed to preserving the Mesoamerican Reef (MAR) for more than two decades.
Money raised will support:
- Light Fixture Upgrades: Restoring and upgrading lights for park safety with marine-themed designs.
- Marine Sculptures & Benches: Adding sculptures of local marine life and themed artwork for education and comfort.
- Small Stage Construction: Building a stage for educational programs, community events, and performances.
- Educational Displays: Installing exhibits and signage about marine ecosystems and conservation.
- Playground Upgrades & Equipment: Existing equipment will be painted and refreshed, and new swing sets will be installed.
Project Objectives:
- To promote environmental awareness by educating the local community and visitors about marine ecosystems and conservation through interactive displays and educational signage.
- To enhance recreational space by providing a unique, eco-themed environment for residents and visitors to enjoy and engage with.
- To support local conservation by highlighting local marine species and conservation efforts, fostering community support for environmental initiatives.

Sponsorship Tiers:
$5,000 Platinum Sponsorship: This Sponsorship level grants you 2 pairs of Positive Legacy sunglasses, 2 custom Positive Legacy “Sleep in for Service” sleep masks, your name / business added to our sponsorship shoutouts, a $250 in PL Merch credit and 2 tickets for a future Day of Service (C9 events only).
$2,500 Platinum Sponsorship: This Sponsorship level grants you 2 pairs of Positive Legacy sunglasses, 2 custom Positive Legacy “Sleep in for Service” sleep masks, your name / business added to our sponsorship shoutouts and a $100 in PL Merch credit.
$1,000 Gold Sponsorship: This Sponsorship level gets you a pair of Positive Legacy sunglasses, a custom Positive Legacy “Sleep in for Service” sleep mask, your Name/Business added to sponsorship shout outs, and a $50 PL Merch credit.
$500 Silver Sponsorship: For this Sponsorship level, you'll receive a pair of Positive Legacy sunglasses, and a custom Positive Legacy “Sleep in for Service” sleep mask.
$150 Bronze Sponsorship: This Sponsorship level gets you a pair of Positive Legacy sunglasses and a custom Positive Legacy “Sleep in for Service” sleep mask.
$50 and up: Sponsors will receive a custom Positive Legacy “Sleep in for Service” sleep mask.
ABOUT OUR LOCAL PARTNER IN BELIZE
Healthy Reefs for Healthy People (HRHP) is a unique international organization dedicated to protecting the Mesoamerican Reef (MAR) with over 20 years of experience in reef health monitoring. HRHP involves 74 partner organizations including local, national, and international groups. HRHP aims to leverage scientific research to support and enhance the direct management efforts of these partners. By integrating scientific evaluations into a collaborative management process, HRHP effectively implements adaptive management across the Mesoamerican Reef (MAR).
