Positive Legacy's Pours for Positive has teamed up with The Range and 603 Brewery to support an organization that is the Voice on Mental Health in Massachusetts in honor of Caryl Leeds.
The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Massachusetts (NAMI Massachusetts) is a nonprofit grassroots organization. Founded in 1982, they are the state’s voice on mental illness.
The mission of NAMI Massachusetts is to improve the quality of life for people diagnosed with mental health conditions and their families. They seek to improve the public’s awareness and understanding of mental health conditions and ensure that all people impacted by a mental health condition receive the support they need in a timely fashion. They do this through:
- education and support programs for people living with a mental health condition and their supporters
- training and presentation programs for community members
- their Helpline
- their annual events
- advocacy efforts at the state and local levels
