Holidaze 2018 Day of Service and Intercultural Connection

Central Vallarta is a small community that has rich relationships and is full of heart, but has little financial means. In 2017, Positive Legacy funded the construction of a new school house in this community. This year, we will spend the day working on the new medical clinic and bathroom (which are being funded by Positive Legacy), doing a community clean up, making recycled bottle art, repainting the recreation equipment on the playground, and building an orchard garden!

Once the the medical clinic is completed, the government has agreed to send doctors to provide checkups and care to the residents in Central Vallarta, who otherwise are unable to receive medical support. The community members struggle to meet their basic needs such as food, water and shelter, making the medical clinic project unattainable without Positive Legacy's support. After our service work, we will enjoy a traditional Mexican meal and local music, as well as an opportunity to zipline and swim in a cenote (a natural, fresh water pool).
