Positive Legacy Presents a Day of Service & Celebration in Belize
Join us for a day filled with service, celebration, and connection—all in the stunning beauty of Belize!
In partnership with Healthy Reefs for Healthy People, Positive Legacy invites you to make a difference while enjoying a unique cultural experience. Together, we’ll transform Lighthouse Park into a marine-themed eco-park that promotes conservation, environmental education, and community engagement!
Participants will take part in a variety of hands-on service activities, join a lively music jam led by Matt Butler, savor a locally prepared lunch, and enjoy some local musical performances. Dive into meaningful work while connecting with the vibrant local culture, all in the stunning setting of Belize City.
Your participation supports Healthy Reefs for Healthy People, a leading organization dedicated to protecting the Mesoamerican Reef. Positive Legacy is proud to fund this initiative with a $25,000 grant, helping bring this vision to life.

ABOUT OUR LOCAL PARTNER IN BELIZE
Healthy Reefs for Healthy People (HRHP) is a unique international organization dedicated to protecting the Mesoamerican Reef (MAR) with over 20 years of experience in reef health monitoring. HRHP involves 74 partner organizations, including local, national, and international groups. HRHP aims to leverage scientific research to support and enhance the direct management efforts of these partners. By integrating scientific evaluations into a collaborative management process, HRHP effectively implements adaptive management across the Mesoamerican Reef (MAR).
Project Objectives
- To promote environmental awareness by educating the local community and visitors about marine ecosystems and conservation through interactive displays and educational signage.
- To enhance recreational space by providing a unique, eco-themed environment for residents and visitors to enjoy and engage with.
- To support local conservation by highlighting local marine species and conservation efforts, fostering community support for environmental initiatives.

We would love to raise $15,000 to support Healthy Reefs for Healthy People (HRHP), a dedicated organization protecting the Mesoamerican Reef (MAR) for over 20 years. Funds raised will support:
- Light Fixture Upgrades: Restoring and upgrading lights for park safety with marine-themed designs.
- Marine Sculptures & Benches: Adding sculptures of local marine life and themed benches for education and comfort.
- Small Stage Construction: Building a stage for educational programs, community events, and performances.
- Educational Displays: Installing interactive exhibits and signage about marine ecosystems and conservation.
