Join Positive Legacy at the Secundaria Técnica No. 7 “Primero de Junio in Puerto Morelos for a day of ecological education, conservation and service!

This beautiful beach side school is one on the oldest schools in Puerto Morelos. For over 50 years this secondary school has been offering locals knowledge of the sea. From helping to create scuba instructors to marine biologists, this school is making waves in the development of future stewards to help protect these beautiful areas. With our donations and labor, we are going to help the school create a coral reef restoration nursery. The corals they grow will then be transplanted back into the national marine park helping to bolster existing coral colonies.

After completing the mornings projects, we will relax to the rhythms from local musicians while we eat an authentic Mexican lunch. For those of you that want to get out and see the reef we will also be offering a snorkeling tour led by our student Aquanaut Ambassadors.

Then, its free time for the rest of the afternoon! Enjoy swimming in the beautiful, Caribbean Sea and soaking up the sun or venturing out into the artisan Mayan Market in Puerto Morelos to buy some handicrafts before we head back to the resort to enjoy another evening of fantastic music!
